I have been writing about Ontario wines since 1998. My interest started from visiting Ontario wineries during weekend getaways with my wife.

My philosophy has been influenced from watching Master of Wine Tim Hanni on a program called the New World Wine Tour. What is now called Flavour Balancing has been my premise of matching food and wine since the beginning.

I have also been writing about my experiences of visiting wineries in Niagara, Lake Erie North Shore, Prince Edward County and the Greater Toronto Area.

The following things came about:

Inclusion in Tony Aspler's book, Canadian Wine for Dummies in 2000

Contacted by Master of Wine Tim Hanni in 2001 and became an educational support partner in a venture called Wine Quest.

Contacted by 21 Century Fox in 2006 and invited to upload my content to their video site Crackle resulting in just under 50000 views in the first month and a number of producer awards.

Invitations to attend tastings by Ontario wineries and write guest articles on other web publications.

I work a regular day job and do this as an off hour hobby but I have certificates from WSET and the LCBO.

The current incarnation of Wine Dining is a reimagining oftheold website. All forms of media (photography, video, audio and the written word) will be used to present the content of this site.

This site will evolve as my experiences with wine do.
